sapatos is one of six finalists to win Online Store of the Year 2021. There were approximately 1,200 online stores that were initially nominated and the winner of Online Store of the Year is chosen by an independent professional jury, consisting of experts in e- trade. The jury is looking for online stores that work actively to stay one step ahead, that have a passion for online shopping and that are leaders in using technology and solutions that simplify and improve the shopping experience.

Traditionally, Posten and Bring are selected Norway's best online stores. The finalists for this year are ready, and they have all been "stress-tested" during the most hectic periods of the year, namely Black Friday and the Christmas shopping. These climbed to the top. Get Inspired, Fjellsport and Linda Johansen excelled and are thus finalists for "Online store of the year" with a turnover of over NOK 50 million. sapatos, Apotera and Zizzi are fighting to become "Online Store of the Year", these in the class for online stores with a turnover of less than NOK 50 million.

The jury has assessed the stores according to four main criteria: Shopping experience, business model, innovation and marketing . In addition, a number of basic requirements must be met. About 1,200 online stores have taken part in the process. The jury has had a thorough review of approx. 200 online stores, and has made trial purchases and returns at 18 online stores. We have had many good discussions before we concluded who are this year's six finalists, says jury leader Kristin Dahl Hoffmann, in a press release.

We are looking forward to getting to know the finalists even better. Norwegian online stores should look to the finalists for inspiration and lessons. They are all pioneers in their industries. In addition to fulfilling the jury's basic requirements, such as good product descriptions and images, keyword optimization and easy navigation, they have an understanding of customer needs and a passion that shines through, says Dahl Hoffmann.
